How to choose a master's thesis topic for face recognition?

I was puzzled by the choice of topic for my master's thesis. I am interested in computer vision, in particular pattern recognition. He defended his bachelor's degree on sign language recognition, compared clustering algorithms, pattern matching, and so on. Now I want to take on faces, but I don’t know for what exactly, there are too many things, but I want something relevant, modern and, as they say, at the edge of technology.

Recognition of gender, age, height, physique, nat. belongings of a person, comparison with existing images (presumably criminals, terrorists). The topic of security, namely security at airports, train stations, crowded places in general.
