How to check the number of collisions in a network?

Is there a "normal" number of collisions per unit of time for a network? What tools are used to measure it?

Collisions arose mainly in topologies such as bus, ring.
In the star topology, when using switches, there should be no collisions.
On the air (wifi / radio ethernet) can be.
Statistics can be viewed on routers or on the interfaces themselves. But on a regular network card, it will most likely be zero.
