How to check the motherboard for compatibility with the CPU?

There is an HP ProDesk 600 G1 Tower system unit on hand.
This is a workstation for the corporate segment as far as we could find out.
The question arose of pumping the processor to something more powerful, but the information is very scarce.
The motherboard is made by HP. The description could not be found on the net as such.
Somewhere they write that she is H87, in the descriptions of branded offers that she is Q85.
Thought to put Xeon E3-1270 v3 instead of Celeron G1820.
Motherboard HP 18E7 Haswell 1150 LGA, south. bridge ID8C4C
bios HP L01 v02.33
Share the resources on which you check the compatibility of rare iron.
I would not want to order a percentage that in the end will not start

Read the BIOS (you can programmatically), open it in the UEFI Tool, look at the FIT section, there will be microcode for the CPU with identifiers. Google them, which processes they correspond to. So you got the CPU Support List

well, it happens with 4770. you can try E3 1230v3, but it's a lottery anyway.

Accumulated info. Apparently Xeon should come in if I understood everything correctly

Bios was flashed without problems with a regular program from HP.
Added after 2 weeks.
As a result, a stone arrived from alik. An E3 1230 v3 was ordered.
At first I thought trouble. There is no image) Then I remembered that he was without a video core. Plugged in the video card and everything is ok.
Everything started up, Windows 10 works fine, the processor recognized it. The temperature on the standard cooler is from HP 25 degrees. Haven't loaded yet.
Another problem arose. Power supply custom. The usual block does not fit into the seat (the adapter from 6 to 24 pins did not work. The motherboard, by the way, is also not simple. There are 3 wires from the block, 4pin to the percent, 6-pin to the mother and P2 (6 pin) control. Now we have to find with this.If anyone knows how to adapt such a mother to a regular block, write pliz.To
