How to check the health of orange pi (i96)?

I bought it means orange pi i96 on alik, I thought that how I would start making interesting projects :D, but it’s not fate, apparently ... in general, I created an SD with the operating system (I tried both debian and ubuntu, the same result, downloaded from the off site), inserted , connected ttl-usb to putty no response. In detail: I have usb-ttl PL2303HX, at first there were problems with the driver, I found drivers (there were even those that caused a blue screen about problems in Windows systems), I try - it doesn’t work, in the official documentation baud-rate = 921600 (for linux) and in unofficial sources it was 115200, so I tried it on 9600 and it does not work. I thought, maybe PL2303 does not plow, closed rx-tx and everything works fine (with itself :)). Com-port is exactly the same, SD cards - I tried it on 2 (64GB samsung and 16GB Trascend, it seems), the lights (2 green) light up when power is applied to orange, there is no ethernet connector on the board, like I did everything I found on the Internet (by the way, there is very little information about the orange pi i96, but I tried the methods with other modifications), nothing helps, maybe the board is not working? how to understand?

@poweruser

IMHO, you need to go "according to the classical scheme" ... First, check that the food is correct and that it is enough. Try different food options. Check jumpers... Shouldn't one of the lights be responsible for indicating the exchange with the card (should blink when accessing it).
