How to check data encryption through OpenVPN?

We have an OpenVPN server to which a mobile phone and a PC are connected in the same LAN.
When connecting from the outside, the device is determined by the public ip-address of the server, i.e. traffic goes through the tunnel... [OK]
Next... How to make sure that the data is really encrypted?

connect between the device on which openvpn is installed and the Internet some computer with two setevushki in bridge mode and see the traffic using wireshark.
