How to change the site to a temporary screensaver?

Hello, I really appreciate your little help. There is a site on modx revo, completely filled, etc., but at the moment there is no time to deal with it. I wanted to put a stub for a while, that is, when you go to the site, the picture "The site is temporarily down" appears. So I wanted to know how to do it? so that later it can be easily removed without losing the information that is now on the site. Thanks in advance

Try to write lines in htaccess during the development of the site so that the site is accessible only by your IP

Yes, it is safer to make changes to .htaccess in the root directory of the site with a redirect of all users, except for you, to some page. Better separate on html.

What htaccess? Just change the home page template to a splash screen and turn off the rest of the pages for a while. Do you have MODX?
