How to change the linked phone?

There is a password and tel. linked to a Google account, but the number is lost. I managed to change the phone number, confirm it. But when you try to add this account to the mail program (thunderbird or outlook), when checking, Google tries to send SMS to the old phone number (the one that was before the change). At first I thought that I had to wait. Waited a week. Nothing changed. There is a new number in the account settings. Doesn't let you delete it. How to solve the problem?
