How to change the built-in tooltip above the zoom control (from WPFEextensions)?

I'm using a library that uses WPFEextensions .
The zoom control on the OnMouseOver event has a tooltip with a usage description in English:

I need to change the locale (language) or tooltip text.
How can I do that?

Not very suitable options:
All three options have one fatal flaw: on hover, the default tooltip is displayed first, and then my overridden one.
Suitable option: fork of the library with corrected localization. The pull request is hanging, maybe they will accept it.
