How to change picture in ListView or Recyclerview for clicked item?

How is it done in general or some kind of instruction.
I have a picture for each element in the listview and the sound is played when you click on the picture of the element from the listview, you need to make it clear that the sound will play, the program does not freeze, so change the picture for the clicked element.
