How to change keyboard layout on Mac?
Good afternoon.
I do web development. Bought a Japanese MacBook Air. Accordingly, the keyboard is also Japanese. A very big problem has arisen. The fact is that now I have a very non-standard arrangement of keys that are vital for work (underlining, commas, colon, dog, brackets). For example, when you press Shift + 2, quotes appear, not @. To access it, you generally need to hold down some incomprehensible Japanese key. Accordingly, I have a question for you - what can be done in this case? I do not plan to relearn, since access, for example, to an asterisk through the simultaneous pressing of several keys is insanity. I'm thinking of buying keyboard stickers with a standard layout, but I'm going to buy stickers, but what should I do with the layout? How can you change it?

I'm not sure, but I think you're confusing something. What is on the keyboard should not affect the software part in any way. The only difference is the engraving. Quotes instead of a dog in what layout? In Russian, this is how it should be, for example.
There are many features of the standard MacBook layout, including the dot/comma in the Russian layout on the numbers 6 and 7, respectively. The origin of the laptop has nothing to do with it. For example, I quickly got used to it. But you can find on the Internet a Windows layout for a MacBook and install it.
By the way, you can have a photo of your keyboard, it's just interesting to see what's on this Japanese. And then all of a sudden you mistook ⌘ (Command) for a terrible Japanese character, but in fact the keyboard is exclusively English and is subject to engraving.
