How to change grub2 config location?

I need grub2 .efi files (for 32bit and 64bit) that load their config from a specific folder on the same partition as the .efi file itself. It cannot be obtained using grub-install, since it binds to a specific section, and I need this grub to be able to run on any computer.
The grub2 that is used on bootable flash drives is completely suitable for me, the only problem is that I need to change the path. How to do it?
