How to change $content variable (change HTML comment code) in Bitrix?

To create comments on the blog, I decided to use the component: comments on products. Item ID set to ={ $arResult[“ID”]} using inline comments. I call the comment component in the component_epilog.php file. In the component template, in the template.php file, there is a $content variable that contains the HTML code of the comment. I can't figure out how to change the content of the $content variable? There is an additional template in which, as I understand it, you can change $content, which is bitrix-> blog.post.comment->adapt->template.php, but this template is not used by my template, I tried to remove all code from it - nothing changes . As I understand it, a system component is used, which I don’t want to correct at all. Tell me please,
