How to change Canonical in Drupal 7 for home page?

In the meta tags module , quick included the Canonical field .
AT editing the main page, I tried to prescribe both absolute and relative (/) paths.
The result is still the same <link rel="canonical" href="/node/1">.
What else can you try?
PS Preferably not installing the "module-alternative" meta tags quick . it is not entirely rational to redo many pages.
