Hello. How to make it so that when entering the site a certain block with a welcome text and an option to select languages is displayed at mysite.com. After choosing a language, the user must go directly to the site itself at mysite.com/ru or mysite.com/en, depending on the selected language. How to implement this in drupal 7?
Here is an example of such a site www.parlam.kz.

The core has a “Language switcher” block (Locale module) or similar contributors ( https://drupal.org/project/lang_dropdown ). Additional block display settings can be obtained by setting i18n_block (module https://drupal.org/project/i18n ) and https://drupal.org/project/closeblock.
Something more complex can be implemented using the API.
