How to capitalize the first letter of the first word in smarty?

Hello, does anyone know how to capitalize the first letter of the entire output? Let's say I have {$a} which displays the Moscow region, I apply the capitalize modifier, but it does this: Moscow Region, a regular expression is probably required, but which one?

Use the pseudo element :first-letter
It changes the style of the first letter
of the description
