How to calculate the correct average?

The user has articles, each article has likes. You need to calculate the average number of likes, given that individual posts can have an order of magnitude more likes. The arithmetic mean is not suitable because of such posts, the median is also not suitable. What formula can be used to adequately derive the average value? With an example, if possible.
Can sort the numbers in descending order and divide the sum of the first half of the numbers by the sum of the second half.
I'm not good at math, please help me.

Why is the median not suitable? In my opinion, that's it.

Judging by the wording of the question, you need to look at the behavior of people who made likes.
For such problems, cohort analysis is more suitable, in which there are no means in most cases.
Well, if you take the average, then it’s better to have a weighted average, which takes into account the weight (number of reads) of a particular post.
