No, the Toaster has not outlived itself. But what answer did you want to get even without mentioning the name of your specialty? But the thesis is not done "on the topic", namely "in the specialty". What's the point if they tell you a topic for Applied Mathematics if your specialty is Financial Analytics?
And what good is it to you if you are called something that is "relevant now" if you (suddenly) do not have enough basic training for this?
