Not sure if the product is that old (is it even supported?).

Office 2010 - nothing.
(Although it might be possible to buy some modern distribution with downgrade rights, I'm not at all sure that downgrade rights exist for the office. You need to consult with an M$ representative.)
"Correct" very much depends on who you are. Physicist, Eureka, etc. What is enough for a physicist will be completely unsuitable for a yuri.
