How to build a web server on vagrant + puppet?

Hello.
They advised me to use vagrant + puppet in my work, but I have never come across these technologies, you can tell how to deploy and use on MacOs X.
Thanks in advance.
PS I'm very stupid, alas, so please explain to dummies what and why :-(

1. Install VirtualBox / VMWare (paid, but subjectively works faster).
2. Install Vagrant.
3. Go here: https://puphpet.com/ and select the options you need.
4. Download, unpack and in the "vagrant up" console, wait until it unfolds.
5. Pass to SSH: vagrant/vagrant, default port 2222, or "vagrant ssh" console
