How to Build a Phonegap App for iPhone?

There was a need to build a simple application for the iPhone. But I ran into a problem - the information in the tutorials is very outdated. Some tutorials say that you need a paid account ($99 per year). In others - that it is possible to assemble the application for free. But according to these tutorials, I don’t get the right to build applications in x-code, it says that I don’t have a developer account and that’s it.
