How to boot without saving changes?

Once upon a time I did the following things (I describe approximately, because I remember vaguely, and Google gives out nonsense):
1) Choose a directory to track changes;
2) You load with some parameters;
....
3) PROFIT. Whatever I do, at the next boot, Windows does Rollback to the state that was in point 1.
Can you tell me what this feature is called?
PS No, this is not a system restore. All manipulations were done without third-party software.

I only know the maximum of the guest's bead, which creates a temporary profile before rebooting, I don’t remember such a system for the system without built-in software.
