How to boot Windows from another drive?

There is a laptop with two drives: a 30 Gb SSD and a terabyte HDD (connected via an adapter instead of a drive). Linux is installed on the SSD. There is a need to install Windows on the HDD, because there is still space on the SSD, and manufacturers recommend leaving 10 percent free. Windows does not want to be installed on the HDD, since it is not bootable. How can the problem be solved?

Try to boot from the boot disk of some disk utility (Paragon, for example) and repartition the HDD. Most likely the structure of its partitions does not allow it to be bootable.
Or if there is such an opportunity - back up the HDD and delete partitions from it - during installation, Windows itself will create the necessary partition structure on it and everything will be OK.
In order not to spoil the Linux bootloader during experiments, it is better to remove the SSD from the laptop.
