How to block loading of a specific script (Python + Selenium + Chrome/Firefox)?

Using DevTools in Chrome or Firefox, blocking the loading of a certain script is easy, but how to do it in Python in Selenium is the question. I can’t use plugins (they slow down the process), it seems to me that since DevTools is, it means that this can be implemented with ordinary code. Tried googling, didn't help.

PS: the site's script is heavy and takes a long time to load, plus I don't need it to automate the process at all
