How to batch format files?

There are about 10,000 .ai files in the folder, I need them in jpg, can I somehow batch duplicate them all in the right format?

Very simple. You launch the Image Processor or Batch in Photoshop, or the same commands in Bridge (which will still launch Photoshop). And that's it. Photoshop will happily open chandelier files if they are saved in PDF compatible mode (which makes them also suitable for feeding to any PDF reader).
