How to backup Macintosh HD?
I have a problem with my Macbook Pro. The video chip is dead. After the replacement, the computer still did not turn on (the boot progress bar is interrupted and turned off), I found out through the disk utility that there was a problem with the hard drive and it needed to be formatted.
Before formatting, I would like to try to recover at least some data. How to do it?

Try with the TestDisk utility:

I had a lot of damage to the magnetic surface of the disk and I was able to recover the data.
