How to automatically turn on the phone when charging?

Hello.
In search of a solution to the problem of automatically turning on android when charging is connected, I found a way out for myself:
in the file /system/bin/ipod I add the
line
/system/bin/reboot
On android 4.2 - everything worked great. Now I switched to 4.4 Kitkat, this focus did not work. Tell me, what could be the problem and how to achieve the ultimate goal:
turn on the phone when connected to charging?

Try to disassemble the ramdisk, find an entry with the charger class in the initialization scripts and write /system/bin/reboot into it. Just make sure /system is mounted when charging.
