How to automatically save a newly opened file in vscode?
Good afternoon.
Decided to switch back from phpstorm to vscode.
When you open a file for the first time, the tab title becomes italic, and if you immediately open a new file, the first one closes.
The solution is to save it after opening the file and then, if you open a new one, the first one is no longer closed.
I rummaged in the settings, but did not find how to save it by default.
Thanks in advance for the hint.

You can either open files by double-clicking from the sidebar, or by the same double-click on the tab title, you can fix the newly opened file. Then the next file will open in a new tab.
Or you can disable Editor Preview altogether in the settings - workbench.editor.enablePreview.
