How to automate system testing in Excel written in VBA?

There is some system that performs calculations in Excel, written in VBA (user requirement). Please tell me how you can organize automatic testing of this system. What tools can be tried for implementation?
The task is not trivial, any ideas can help a lot.

well, if you have money - HP has a powerful UFT thing that tests almost everything. Excel tests
And so - I would dig aside to take the vba-module and cover the unit with tests (Debug.Assert)
