How to automate GUI swing testing?

I can't choose a good framework for testing the swing dialog designer in automatic mode.
The old posts recommend FEST, which has been dead for three years now. I found Jemmy, assertJ, testNG, JUnit and others, about which there is not enough information. How to choose the best? I wanted to choose FEST, but I didn’t even find documentation on it. Yes, and it seems to be outdated?
An iterator is needed (to traverse through all interface elements), Java 8+ support (so that it can be used in the future). Or at least how to search? Almost all the info in the search is outdated.
FEST and AsserJ liked so far, what can you say about them?
