How to authorize via QR?

There is a SPA that, upon request, will show a qr code, I scan it with my application, and what I scanned should be displayed in the SPA. Whatsapp web has something similar. How to implement this technology?

Don't think of QR as something magical. It's just data that is easily entered through the camera.
Token or URL. The application receives this data, sends a request based on it to the server.
The server checks the validity of the request and authorizes the user.
