How to arrange a player from an old Android phone?
I have an old HTC Sensation in good condition with a fresh battery. After changing the device to Nexus, the idea arose to use it as a music player, reader and gamer, like a small tablet. Is there a way to disable / cut out the phone module so that it can only connect via WiFi. Do not tell me the way or the finished ROM. The search did not give anything except Airplane Mode in one form or another, but the icon of the aircraft and the need to constantly turn something on / off are somewhat annoying.
The phone is very good, fast, smart and loved. I would like to extend the life of the animal.

The obvious option is this. In principle, we take any rum and clean out all unnecessary apk from / system / app, disable unnecessary system functionality through the settings (if CM10), or through the Xposed Framework. Next, we put the necessary applications and a lightweight launcher (everything can be stuffed into / system / app). PROFIT
Z.Y. If you need to use only one application, there is such a thing as App As Launcher, which, say, when you turn on the phone, will open the player and that's it, nothing else will work except settings through the statusbar.
I myself did this on a dead tablet to use it as a reader. It turned out a minimal Android that can only read books.
Thanks for the advice. I tried something, read something ... Total:
First I tried the Xposed Framework. Of those modules that are at the office. The site liked one that promised to remove the message about the loss of the SIM card. In fact, it didn't work. Using Root Browser, I looked at / system / app. tried to delete Phone - refused. Installed RootAppDelete. Demolished Phone and the message about the SIM card was gone.
What remains, but I would like to remove, is the signal level icon in the status bar. Useless, gray with a cross. What application is responsible for its work? Tablets do not have it, so how can I remove it? Maybe you need to disable the GSM module? Will this affect WiFi?
Another question is how to find out which modules are needed and which ones can be removed? Anything dhjlt descriptions for modules/applications.
