As a result, I opted for the Apple MacBook Air 13 Early 2015 (Average price ~ 77 thousand (+/- 5k) rubles in Moscow).
(Core i5 1600 MHz/13.3"/1440x900/8.0Gb/256Gb SSD/DVD no/Intel HD Graphics 6000/Wi-Fi/Bluetooth/MacOS X
) time)
That there is no Retina - it’s sad, but the battery will thank me)
All the same, mobility and weight are important for me personally, because this poppy will be with me absolutely everywhere
! in HearthStone + YouTube and surfing the Internet - I think, according to preliminary calculations, this machine should fulfill these requirements with a bang.
Thank you all for your help! :)
Under Xcode it is better to take Pro.
Air still rests more on the web (development).
Air 16 years old should export the indicated programs, but 13 is not quite the best option for them, and so the firmware, of course, comes with a large margin of power, and 15 also with discrete video.
Is there a calamus of the 16th year? It's kind of like 2015
Hearthstone, even my MBP sucks, the game is very poorly optimized. Don't look up to her
Greetings!
The pro version is about 1kg larger, and mobility will be very important to me.
Also, the Pro version will be 6-10 thousand more expensive.
Then why are you asking which macbook to take?) I would really take a pro if I were you, it's best for development. I myself use macbook pro retina mid 2012 and have never regretted that I took pro, not air. As the saying goes, a miser pays twice...
Wait until the end of October, according to rumors, they should introduce a new Pro version, and then you will decide.
Air do not buy a new one in any case, only if you consider previous years.
It will update in a month or two. Accordingly, the previous generation will become cheaper.
I myself work on air mid 13 with 4GB of brains on i5. Layout, photoshop-banners-illustrators, sketch, virtual machines with internet explorers. I can't say anything about ixcode performance. 4 gigs of RAM, it feels like sometimes it's not enough, firefox eats everything, but in general, I'm satisfied. At work, a hub for peripherals and an external monitor.
Sometimes I forget to plug in the charger and it lasts all day.
For a long time I used two cars in parallel: Air 13 "2013 i7 / 8Gb / 512 and Pro Retina 13" 2014 i5 / 8Gb / 256.
Both machines are good, but in my opinion, the Pro Retina has the only (but very bold) plus - a perfect screen. He is also the reason for his shortcomings. Because the resolution is much higher, more system resources are required to work with it. The filling in Pro, although more powerful than in Air, is not proportional to the required resources. Because of this, the Pro heats up more, works less offline, and starts to lag earlier than the Air, especially when it comes to graphics and various visualizations. For example, agar.io and slither.io work perfectly smoothly on Air and don’t even heat it up much, while Pro puffs and drops FPS. Also, on Pro, most programs consume much more RAM than on Air, apparently also due to high resolution support, so even with normal operation, 8Gb on Air and 8Gb on Pro are not the same thing, this must be taken into account.
If your eyes do not beg for a Retina screen - I advise Air, working with it is faster, but the screen is much worse. If you look at the Pro version, I would recommend with 16Gb of RAM. But it’s better to wait a little more for the announcement of new lines, maybe there will be something interesting, or at least last year’s prices will be reduced.
