How to align text in Adobe Photoshop?

How to align text (and not only) relative to the container in which it is located?
Specifically, my example in the attached screenshot: you need the selected text in a large purple container to be exactly centered on all sides.

Option 1: Make the text block the full width of this element and align it with the usual Center text.
Option 2: align the text like a normal object - select the element with respect to which you want to align the text, activate the text layer and in the Move Tool mode select Align horizontal centers from the toolbar.

Create a separate container layer. Select two layers - text and container, select the move tool (click on "V") and use the buttons on top to align as you like...
