How to adjust the focus when shooting with a camera?
Good morning, colleagues!
There is a Canon 550D camera and a 50mm lens.
When I photograph, the focus is set to a certain point, but I would like the object to be entirely without blur.
Below is an example, it shows that the focus is on Yoda and the cat on the pugs =)
If the cat is even less so, then objects are always such a problem.

Read about depth of field and crop factor.
For example, here: geektimes.ru/post/111304
And yes, clamp the aperture, just remember that you shouldn’t clamp it very tightly, because. this will lead to a loss of image quality ( diffraction limit ), and the light will be missed very quickly. It is solved either by adding light (studio \ pulse), or switching to more cropped matrices (4/3, phone*).
* joke; although when photographing on a phone, blurring, like yours, can only be obtained programmatically.
Try changing the autofocus area (AF) through the Fn button, you probably have spot focus, because the camera only focuses on the point you aim at, everything else becomes blurry. Choose from zone or wide AF.
As for the camera itself, it makes sense to take it to www.e-katalog.ru/CANON-EOS-5D-MARK-III-BODY.htm as a gift to the manager, director of the enterprise, if he is not a professional but just an amateur, but he constantly takes pictures travel and photograph
