How to adjust page display scale in Chrome?

Bottom line: from some point in time, pages in Chrome began to be displayed on an enlarged scale (about 125% of normal).
If you reduce the scale (Ctrl - -) by 1 step, then the pages become approximately normal size.
And this size, as far as I understand, is my default size, tk. when I try to reset the scale (Ctrl-0), I get an enlarged version (described just above).
Where to watch and edit?

This happened after Chrome switched to DirectWrite in Windows and you most likely have an increased percentage of DPI in the system.
Google Chrome's launch keys, "/high-dpi-support=1" seems to help, and some other explicitly setting scaling.
