How to add files to an already prepared bootable ISO image in UDF format on Linux?

It is necessary not to recreate the image, but to surgically sew one folder with files there.
ISOMaster refuses to work with UDF format. Googling on this issue led to dead forums where the issue was never resolved. Really the task such nontrivial?
