How to add a VPN client to UBUNTU?

In order for the IMPORT VPN settings option to appear in the tray, you need to additionally install at least "network-manager-openvpn network-manager-openvpn-gnome" packages . Then I have this settings file and I need to manually import it via the GUI.
Can you please tell me how this process can be automated with a command from the console?
