How to add a Template SNMP OS Linux template for Zabbix server?
Hello.
Trying to add the Template SNMP template OS Linux for Zabbix Server 2.4.5 gives the error " Two data items ("Device name" and "Host name") cannot populate the same "Name" field of the host inventory, this may lead to a conflict. "
Snmp on the server is enabled and basically works.
Thanks in advance.

It's not about SNMP, but about the architecture of Zabbix itself.
Part of the system is the inventory data of each network node. This data can be filled either manually or assigned to fill in one or another field of inventory data for a specific data element.
You are trying to assign two templates to one node, each of which has an element that must fill the same inventory fields (Name).
The easiest way to solve your problem is to go to the Template SNMP OS Linux template and remove the filling in the inventory field for the Device name data element (see screenshot)
PS For more information about inventory, see here .
I want to post an article where I found good templates for monitoring Windows OS, different from the standard template, I haven’t looked at everything yet, but they work. And yes, there are still a couple of templates for VM server and HP printers (I have not tested them)
