How to add a page class when the visitor is in a certain category?

There is a page. It has several links to other pages from a certain category. The active menu item is highlighted, but as soon as you switch to an entry from a category on this page, this menu item is no longer highlighted. How can I make the menu item highlighted when navigating through the posts?
