How to add a new project template to Xcode?

I added a template for the iPhone application to both the ~/Library/Developer/Shared/Xcode/File Templates/ folder and /Library/Developer/Shared/Xcode/Project Templates/, but the new template did not appear in the new project window. What am I doing wrong?
