How to achieve eye-friendly [email protected] on Linux?

I have a Dell P2415Q screen that outputs [email protected] from MacOs just fine. If you connect Linux to the same monitor, then formally (in the settings) it says 60Hz and 4K, but in fact the eyes feel discomfort. Tried different DisplayPort cables from different manufacturers, tried Intel, AMD and Nvidia cards, couldn't get any eye comfort anywhere. In which direction can you dig? ...
