How to access a private project in gitlab?

Good afternoon.
Please tell me what's funny. The client added my mail to his closed project, but I can’t log in anyway. I haven't signed up for gitLab. He showed his screen, and there the data from Skype was pulled up. But the mail that I gave him is not related to Skype in any way.
