How to access a network resource by name in a domain?
Hello.
We are trying to connect from a client machine running Windows 7 Pro to a shared folder on a Windows Server 2008 R2 server. All this in the AD domain. When I try to connect, I get the message:
No access to \\srv-fs. You may not have permission to use this network resource. Please contact the administrator of this server for the appropriate access rights.
Username not found.
At the same time, we freely connect to this shared folder from other machines on the local network. We connect even from this machine using a different account. The DNS server is working (checked with nslookup). We also connect to this server by ip.

Start-Run:
control userpasswords2
The User Accounts window will open. On the Advanced tab (second tab) ->Manage Passwords at the very top, another window will open. Look for the stored credentials for this resource there. Delete and try again.
At the same time, we freely connect to this shared folder from other machines on the local network. We connect even from this machine using a different account.
1) cmd> ipconfig /flushdns Flush
DNS cache. Unlikely, but if it works by ip, but not by name, then maybe.
2) Check if the account is in the "Domain Users" group. And is there any chance on the DNS server to deny access to this account.
3) Check the Windows credential store to see if any password has been saved for the "\\srv-fs" resource.
