How secure is SSD hardware encryption?
I am interested in the strength of encryption of hardware SSDs, how much it can be trusted. (Let's take the popular Samsung Evo 850 as an example). How long will it take to guess the password and what computing power is involved. Is there any other way to bypass the encryption?

For hardware encryption, the same algorithms are used.
You need to look at which algorithm is used for encryption in a particular device.
All the algorithms used are quite stable and reliable - in general, in terms of stability, everything is on top.
Is there any other way to bypass the encryption? If the manufacturer has provided such an opportunity - of course it is possible.
Any system of consumer encryption (and here - consumer goods!) - is insecure and there can be no question of trust in it at all.
