How not to scare off the customer with bad English?

Hello!
I have interviews in English. I would like to prepare a phrase for a difficult case. If the interlocutor (naive speaker) gets carried away, he will quickly chatter and use phrasal verbs.
Could you speak more slowly and use simple words - right enough? I don't want to ruin my first impression.
Thank you!

You can say "Could you speak a little slower, please?" If you don't understand a word, you can say "Spell it, please?" ("Can you spell that please"). The main thing is not the level of language proficiency, but non-verbal contact (gestures, facial expressions, facial expressions). Smile, they love it.

Nothing to show off!
To say slow down and use simple words is the worst thing you can think of!
Either you know the language and own it, or you just go to prove your programming skills and prove it at the interview (+ the ability to read USE technical documents in English in any way).
There is no third!
PS: Correspondence by mail in English. without basic knowledge of verbs, tenses, rules of sentence formation - impossible!
Google translator will not help in any way: you will look worse than Tajiks in Russian!

If you have not learned the language, then acting and imitation are unlikely to save you here. You must at least know such a frame as am is are, has, do and does with will, was, were, there is & there are, to be going to; otherwise it will be like in the movie: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gElv9YMdWl4

Could you speak a bit slowly?
I'm afraid my English is not fluent...
and smile.
This is a more "live" version, which is sympathetic :)

I will give you universal advice that helped me both in CA and NY and even in God-forgotten Detroit:
in any incomprehensible situation, speak small english .
In response, you will always see an understanding look and a nod of approval.
Well, what else do you need? The task was - not to scare away ? Like yes.

Everyone doesn’t care how good your English is, the main thing is that you understand them and they understand you, you can speak with a bunch of mistakes and they will understand.
That's right, the skill of understanding the language cannot be pumped right away, but for the future, watch movies, videos on YouTube in the original.

My English is very weak. I usually say:
"I speak English very little. Speak slow, please."
True, this is not at the interview; but to explain to the tourist how to get there.
