How much will it cost to buy a domain zone, or create your own?

I'm interested in the question, let's say I want to buy a certain domain (meaning .com, .ua, .ru, .net, etc.) is it possible and how much will it cost?
Also seeing that Yandex was allowed to use .Yandex, how much would it cost to create one?

If you read the news about Yandex, you could well have come across this paragraph

"ICANN began accepting applications for new domain names in 2012. The cost of one such application (which was not guaranteed to be approved) was $185,000."

current zones can no longer be bought, except perhaps some very small ones belonging to seedy island countries with 10 inhabitants. but even then there the order of prices is more than an application for consideration of obtaining a zone in ikan

Many zones like .profi .master .max and so on have already been bought out. Above they wrote how cheap it is, only "185 thousand US dollars". This may be an investment in the future, but so far such zones do not have huge popularity, due to not very clear seo.
