Press Win + R and in the dialog box that opens, enter msinfo32 . Next, on the left, go to the Display (or graphics devices) section . There in the list will be the name of the video card model, and under it the amount of memory.
If I remember correctly, "display memory" is the dedicated video memory, "total memory" is the area in main memory used by the video controller, and "total memory" is the sum of them.
That is, you have 972 "real" video memory. But, again, if I remember correctly, some video controllers (or rather drivers) can be cunning here too. Report more than is actually there so that the games run. And in fact, this memory is also located in the main memory.
