How much RAM does Windows 2012 R2 Standard support?
Good evening,
we have a server with 48 GB of memory installed, but due to the fact that Windows 2008 R2 Standard is installed, 32 of them are visible. Can this be solved by switching to Windows 2012 R2 Standard, where, as I heard, this restriction was canceled?

Based on:

Just like 2012 Standart - 4Tb
Maybe it will be cheaper for you to make the transition from Windows 2008 R2 Standard to Windows Server 2008 R2 Enterprise, there is a 2 TB limit .
I don't know for sure, but it looks like you need to pay full price for Windows Server 2008 R2 Enterprise to upgrade. Maybe you already have an extra license lying around somewhere behind a cabinet.
