How much can an alternative to regular hosting on AWS cost?
I have never used hosting a la Amazon Web Services, I broke my brain while trying to figure out a million services that are offered as a familiar php + mysql hosting. Moreover, I could not find a way how to calculate the cost of cloud hosting for a site written in PHP, up to 50 GB. I would be glad if someone can help me figure it out.

AWS is not hosting, but an IaaS platform. If you have a simple php + mysql site, then you just don’t need to go there - it will be easier and cheaper because when comparing the same infrastructure for weak projects, it is very, very expensive.
It’s not worth breaking your feet there - find at least some courses or guides on how the cloud works and how it is paid. To work with clouds, you need to have non-zero knowledge in networks and administration
You can use some vps in hetzner cloud or ovh for 3-5 euros per month and install lemp yourself

Even if you have a need to move to AWS, you still cannot predict your expenses, only very, very roughly. Life in AWS is when we look at billing every month and "before September, we didn't have so much inter-regional traffic, why did we raise such a thing in the product .. for 2k extra bucks"
No architect will tell you in advance how much you will pay for AWS services. The billing formula there is complex and takes into account both transactions and traffic and callbacks (AWS-lambda) and time resources for instances. Therefore, the only correct way is to assemble a working layout. Deploy it in AWS and watch it under load for a month. See what the bill is. And appropriately extrapolate to other volumes.
If the user case is very simple, then use AWS Lightsail - this is an analogue of regular VPS with a fixed and predictable price. Offhand will come out a few tens of dollars.
