How much can a beginner web designer really earn in 2020?

I'm just starting to understand this topic and I don't know if I should move on and hope for something.
There is no work by profession in my city, so I decided to realize my creative potential and learn design. While I'm taking the first small steps, but I already doubt whether there is any sense in this. I looked at the tasks on the exchanges and was left at a loss .. the prices are low, there is little work and there is a lot of competition.
I don’t know programming languages, I don’t know how to typeset. I'm going to do purely design in Photoshop and Figma.

How much can you earn in this scenario? And is it real at all?

From 0 to 1000000, or even more or less, as you're lucky.

With your experience, no freelancing - only permanent. A lot of Moscow companies have switched to remote work, write to everything, like "I'm June, I want to train with you remotely and grow with you blah blah blah." But be prepared to move to a large city in case of successful growth (again, every second big man helps promising fighters with relocation).
Focus on Figma, forget Photoshop, choose your niche (eg mobile interfaces). And do not forget about constant self-improvement - lessons, paid / free courses, online trainings, diligent students are also actively hunted from there.
Good luck in the difficult search for yourself, and stop doubting! ;-)

if you like it and you invest completely in work (in training), yes, you will earn. how much is up to you. and not only from skills in specialization, but from skills in communication and the ability to sell your services. when I started working in design, it turned out from the first month about 80k per month. but I burned, plowed for 12 hours, went crazy about my work. now several years have passed, I still burn with my profession, but I work less in time. much. I spend 2-3 hours a day, I get about 50-60 per month. I left the best and dearest customers, I don’t take on everything that lies badly, I don’t waste my nerves on terrible customers. It seems to me that in any profession the main key to making money is love for what you do. vot)

The prices are normal. Freelancing is an entrepreneurial activity. Your professional qualities are in tenth place.

Build a portfolio, at first you can make designs, layouts at low prices, and gradually increase it, attract regular customers. When you realize that there are a lot of orders, then just increase the cost. A designer is now quite capable of reaching 30-50k+ very quickly even on freelance, in the office, I think, even faster, up to 100k and above, especially in Moscow.

Realistically, but you have to run into those who are ready to use your services for money. This time. There are only 3 months until the end of the year, here you will rather just make a portfolio, and not earn money.
